I was part of the “Great Awakening” that took place during the Covid-19 pandemic. After a life-changing experience in 2021, I re-evaluated and recalibrated my life and my definition of success to live more authentically. This included returning to my roots as a writer and writing my first book, Life Disrupted: Finding Your Way Forward When the World is Upside Down (Fall 2022, New Degree Press) to share my story and roadmap to build back better after experiencing burnout and a breakdown.
I hope to help other high-achieving women who strive to have it all by sharing my journey. I aim to provide a space for open and honest conversations about mental health struggles, especially anxiety and depression, in the workplace and beyond. Finally, I hope these conversations lead to the next generation of women having more support and the acceptance they need to succeed—from schools to government and workplace policies to their partners and other women. I want women to know that it’s okay, and even preferable, to be “perfectly imperfect.”
I'm an entrepreneur and an award-winning integrated marketing expert with more than twenty-five years of experience working for some of the world’s best-known brands. In 2011, I founded my own marketing consultancy Flow Marketing Communications, Inc.
I have a bachelor of arts in journalism from Indiana University and a masters in integrated marketing from Northwestern University. I live with my husband, two teens and a tween, and our Airedale Terrier “Lulu” in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago.
The reason I'm sharing my story is because I want others to know they aren't alone! If you want to drop me a note, share your story, or have any questions, send me an email at email@example.com.
